A Private Community To Live The Exclusive Classic Car Life

CONTEXT

House of Classics (HOC) is an exclusive club that connects classic car owners, and those who want a taste of one today by sponsoring it and becoming a patron to the collection of classics. It unites Owners and Patrons as they take care of a portfolio of classic cars. The website needed to have a sophisticated user experience and allow Owners to sign up their cars as well as qualified Patrons to book a drive of their chosen classic car and purchase add-ons.

APPROACH

User scenarios & task flows helped align design choices with intent and behavior

Studying the features and goals of the project, we created a sitemap, information architecture and detailed task flows that communicated the key value propositions for the different audience segments. While Owners could sign up their classic, Patrons could browse through various collections, view the photos and specs of individual classic cars and initiate a booking on their chosen date.

HIGHLIGHTS

A sophisticated UX to appeal to classic car enthusiasts

To reflect the status of a premium private community, a multi-step application process was designed to guide and inform users of the status of their membership applications. We designed Interfaces to help patrons manage their profiles, bookings and communicate with the club administrators and owners. The site also features a vibrant community of events and the design also allowed patrons to seamlessly purchase add-ons when making a reservation of a classic.

deliverables

As a design project, the deliverables spanned across services such as sitemap and navigation; content inventory; task flows and wireframes; prototypes; moodboards and visual design. Clickable prototypes were created for end-user testing and the feedback received helped further improve the user experience for the target demographic.
